Mumbai Xpress is a dream; It is a story of every
individual who lived and grew up in Mumbai and are now far away from the most magical
city in the world.
Yes, I miss waking up to the smell of Vada Pavs and Pav Bhaji
made in the Gali’s of Mumbai City. The Mithibai Pav Vadas, Sukh Sagar Pav
Bhaji, Haji Ali Juices, the Thakur Dwar Thalis, the Mumbai sandwiches (found in
every corner of the city) Etc were some of the attractions for me when I was
growing up and I can go on on with that. I think it was the experience that was
so different. Where would I get to eat the Pani puri, bhel puri, sev puri on
the beach? – It happens only in Mumbai!
Aamchi Mumbai! It means “Our Mumbai”. That’s what mumbaikers
lovingly call the city. It is considered to be a city based patriotism. My
brother and I still cherish memories of our childhood in Mumbai. Our love for
Mumbai city and food was so unconditional and that’s how Mumbai Xpress came
about.
